My Parents Are Forcing Me to Move

by Laura Hawn

Moving to another place can be difficult. I've been living in my hometown since I was a child. Sadly, my mother and father both got an exciting new job in another state. This is something which has shattered my life because I'm still in highschool. I'm officially a senior.

This is meant to be the best time of my life, but instead, I will be moving to another state. I'm going to be moving to somewhere where I don't have any friends and no family other than my mother and pop. I am very upset about this and I do not even need to talk to them.

My mom and pop are both saying this will be a great adventure for us. I disagree; I will be leaving all of my friends and the remainder of our family. I feel just like this is the worst choice ever. We have already started the moving process and we began to look for NYC mini storage units.

I am not planning on making it easy for my mother and my dad. I have so many things and I refuse to get rid of any of them. I think this'll make it tougher for them. They need me to attempt to get rid of some of my things and donate them, but I don't want to. If I were staying in this house, this would never be a problem.

I would never have to go through any of my stuff and they would all be there in the exact place they have always been. This is my mother and my dad's fault, so I'm going to make it as difficult as possible. A few days ago I found out that my mom and father had already been going through some of my things and they have placed other things of mine in storage NYC units. This upsets me also.
